| Two-time RITA finalist Gayle Wilson never dreamed of becoming a romance novelist. She was too busy being a teacher for gifted children, a wife and a mother.
However, she was always a compulsive romance reader who loved to escape the stresses of modern life by retreating into a good book. With a master’s degree in English and History, it was probably inevitable that she try her hand at writing a historical romance in her "spare" time.
That first book sold to Harlequin Historicals and was a RITA finalist in, 1995. Gayle has since written over 20 romance novels for Harlequin Historicals and Harlequin Intrigue.
In 1999, she was again a RITA finalist, this time for Best Romantic Suspense (twice). For the past two years, one of Gayle’s books has been the top selling Intrigue at Amazon.com
Gayle is a life-long resident of Alabama. She lives there with her husband of 30 years, a stubborn English shepherd, and five cats. She has one son, who also teaches gifted children, and a warm and loving extended southern family.
