| Kathy Fischer-Brown's life-long love of early American history can be traced back to the many family vacations up and down the east coast, where she boasts having been photographed by her Civil War buff father with her sisters perched on cannons at every major fort and battlefield from Canada to Virginia. She has since written seven novels, was a finalist in RWA?s Golden Heart contest and placed in and won a number of chapter contests with a variety of historical and time travel novels.
A Bronx native, Kathy grew up on Long Island and in Stamford, Connecticut and now lives in Central Connecticut with her teacher/director/playwright husband Tim, their two son Matt and daughter Hannah, and Casey, a delightfully whacko English Springer Spaniel. When not writing, Kathy enjoys cooking, tennis, gardening, classical and folk music, the NY Yankees, and messing around with computers.
Kathy is a member of RWA, CTRWA, EPIC, EPPRO, and AEPRA.
