Waiting For The Moon
by: Kristin Hannah

Fawcett, November 1995

On the craggy cliff off the coast of Maine, a young woman jumps to her death but somehow survives. At an asylum nearby, a talented surgeon fights the demons of the past and curses the "gift" he has been given since his own brush with death. Dr. Ian Carrick's gift is the ability to touch someone and see their thoughts, feel their pain, know their secrets. He has given up being a surgeon because of his unusual talent. When the woman is brought to him, he is reluctant to touch her. Her injuries seem untreatable but Ian does his best to try to save her and discovers that when he touches her nothing happens.
