| In June of 2003, Diane Perkins (Diane Gaston) was just another hopeful, unpublished romance writer, but all that changed!
By September of 2003 she was contracted for five books from two publishers!
Her first American release was THE IMPROPER WIFE November 2004 and writing as Diane Gaston, for Mills & Boon, her debut novel THE MYSTERIOUS M was released July 2004. It went on to win the RWA's 2003 Golden Heart for Long Historical.
Under the name Diane Perkins, two Regency-set historicals were released: The Improper Wife (Warner, 2004) and The Marriage Bargain (Warner, 2005).
So whatever happened to Diane Perkins?
Being two authors made it difficult to reach readers . . . so Diane morphed back into one person, choosing to write Regency historical romances as Diane Gaston. (from author's web site . . . January 2008.)
